Overview

Error message: Make sure that both sites are updated to last version of Elementor and have enabled the features relevant to the copied element before trying again.

Elementor version mismatch is likely the most common issue users encounter when copying over components. This article describes the ways to fix the issue.

Ensure the minimum required version of Elementor

Skelementor components require Elementor version 3.11 or higher. If you're using a version below 3.11, the process of pasting a component will not work. It's also advisable to use the latest stable version of Elementor to prevent any errors related to version conflicts.

Enable container feature

Skelementor components utilize flexbox container technology, which is why it's essential to enable this setting.

To do so, navigate to Elementor > Settings > Features

Since all our components rely on this technology, you must keep this feature Active.

Enable required features

Some of our components also utilize additional required features from Elementor settings. We've written a comprehensive guide on how to identify and enable required features for specific components on the following URL:

Using Elementor Pro

While most of our components can be used with just the free version of Elementor, there are some components that utilize elements/widgets from Elementor Pro. (e.g. Header, Footer, Form, etc.).

This means you'll need Elementor Pro for those specific components. For this reason, we recommend using Elementor Pro to ensure full compatibility with all Skelementor features and components.

Additional workarounds

  • Download as template file: Skelementor offers the option to download components as template files. You can use this to download the component you need as a template file and then import it directly into your Elementor website. This should help you avoid errors further.

  • Using a different host: Your current host/server might be blocking the network request to Skelementor when copying components, causing an error. This issue can occasionally occur due to server firewall incompatibility. We recommend trying a different server to resolve the problem.
